Mitch Danis is a jazz saxophonist whose soulful sound is as rich and inspiring as the mountains he loves. A proud Eastman School of Music grad, Mitch is continuously refining his craft, performing in all sorts of venues—from laid-back jazz clubs to vibrant outdoor festivals. His style is a unique blend, mixing the jazz lineage with funk, soul, and even world music, all reflecting his deep connection to nature. What also sets Mitch apart is his collaborative spirit. Musicians love working with him because he’s not just a great player; he’s intuitive and knows how to vibe with any band. Whether he's jamming with friends or performing a solo set, his music invites listeners on a heartfelt journey. He has played with and been influenced by Maria Schneider, Charles Pillow, Ingrid Jensen, Dave Rivello, and Mark Zaleski. He has played with the Eastman New Jazz Ensemble, the Empire Film Music Ensemble, and Not Like Other Guys Brass Band. When not weaving musical narratives, Mitch can be found enjoying the outdoors of the Northeast.

In addition to his performing career, Mitch is an enthusiastic woodwinds educator. He offers saxophone, flute, and clarinet lessons to students of all ages and abilities.
